Jade & Sid - AKA Buckaroo Bucksin!

It's fair to say Jade was nervous about how Sid would be for their photoshoot, he's a character, but that just made the photoshoot more fun!

I love a cheeky character, it can make for some laugh out loud photos. Yes we may have needed a little patience for the more posed photos but it was a lovely sunny day so I was in no rush!

Jade had always wanted some professional photographs of her with Sidney, but have never got round to it. So when I announced I was starting my own photography business, (knowing Jade through work) she didn't hesitate in asking me.

It was a beautiful spring day, everything was in blossom and the sky was blue. Jade had sent me photos of the location and we'd chatted about what she wanted so we got straight into snapping, after a quick hello to Sid.

Starting at the yard we used the driveaway to get the walk away shots, a favourite of mine and easy for the models as there is no standing and posing. Then we moved to a fenced area to get the over the gate image. Sid took some convincing as he just wanted to nibble Jade's arm! A short walk down the road gave us some more beautiful back drops but the rapeseed field was our goal. It was just coming to the end of flowering but there was still enough yellow to work with. Jade jumped on, in her nautical dress and Sid did his job posing for the camera. These are definitely some of my favourite photos from the day. Fun fact my favourite colour is yellow!

Now if you're wondering what the Buckaroo Skin is, that is Jade & Sid's social's name. Jade set up the pages so people could follow their day to day activities, training and fun & games!

What Jade had to say about her photoshoot.

"Absolutely in love with this photo from my shoot with Steph. I’ve never done a horsey photoshoot so had no idea what to expect! Steph was great in emailing and messaging me beforehand to make sure I’d planned my outfits out and Sid’s! We spoke about the different locations and what kind of images I wanted and she put me at ease both before and during the shoot. True to form, Sidney was a little monkey and his normal posey self was replaced by a fidgety, nibbling creature. Top tip, don’t wear a white shirt when you’ve been distracting your horse with cow parsley. The stains will need some elbow grease to work out haha!!

Moral of the story, get booked in and get some beautiful images of your best friends." Jade
