When the going gets tough…

…the tough get going…however the wise retreat!
My girlfriend’s parents are the wardens at a wonderful retreat centre down in East Sussex; Penhurst Retreat Centre. It’s an oasis of calm to escape to away from London life and a great place to be, however the current photos on the website don’t do it justice in terms of communicating how amazing it is. So, as part of a general facelift for the website I was asked (along with my girlfriend) to take some new photos for the site.
We strayed a little from our remit as we went for a wander in the surrounding countryside (I’m guessing they won’t be using the one of the cow’s bottom!) but we know that we’ll have plenty of opportunities to supplement the set of images. The set of photos that we took show Penhurst Retreat centre in one afternoon in July and although that’s great, it will be good to add photos through the seasons.

We have been truly blessed by these photographs. Of course the one of the cow’s bottom stands out (but hey, that’s what cow’s bottoms do!).
We are going to put some on our “Coming Home” space at Greenbelt…starting this Friday.

Glad you like them – we had great fun shooting them, and I probably speak for both of us when I say that we’re looking forward to taking more, in different weathers and seasons
