About srphotos.co.uk
srphotos.co.uk is the trading name of photographer Steve Roberts. It was founded as the result of a hobby based on the appreciation of traditional manual SLR photography, and it still holds onto its roots. Currently I do weddings and portraits, but there are plans to branch out into commission work. At some point customers will be able to purchase the stock photography found in the galleries. The aim is to keep everything affordable, as art doesn't have to be expensive.
About Me
I am an IT consultant by profession with a love of photography and art. My particular areas of interest with photography are:
- Black and white photography
- Urban night scenes
- Water, reflections and shadows
- Repetitive patterns
Composition is everything to me, and this is why you will not find any digitally-altered work on this site. A good picture may take a while to set up with composition, aperture size, shutter speed, depth of field and manual focussing, but it is all worthwhile.
About the site
All of the photos on this site have been taken by me with one of my many cameras. My preference is to use manual film cameras where possible (Canon AT-1 and Canon AV-1) shooting in black and white, however I do also shoot in colour, and at weddings will use digital (Nikon D50) where necessary to capture those fleeting moments.
