About the glasses

All of the photos in the 3d galleries on this site can be seen using 2 types of 3d glasses:

  • Stereoscopic - a special type of prismatic 3d glasses to view side by side images
  • Red/Cyan - left eye red, right eye cyan glasses to view red/cyan anaglyph images

NB: You do not need a Paypal account to purchase a pair of glasses. Paypal is used as it provides a secure internet payment method.

Order stereoscopic glasses

These give the ability to view side by side 3d images (also known as stereoscopic images). The glasses are made up of two prisms (one for each eye) that lets each eye see a different image, which your brain then combines to see in 3d. These are £6 per pair, including postage and packaging.

Order red/cyan glasses

These give the ability to view 3d red/cyan anaglyph images. The glasses are made up of coloured light gels; right eye cyan and left eye red. The red eye only sees the cyan parts of the anaglyph image, and the cyan eye only sees the red parts of the anaglyph image, which your brain then combines to see in 3d. As these are coloured glasses, there is some degredation in colour quality of colour images. These are £1.50 per pair, including postage and packaging.

Viewing images without glasses

If you don't want to have to fork out for glasses, then it is possible to view the images without glasses at all. The technique is just like that for viewing Magic Eye images - cross your eyes until the 2 images turn into 3 images, and the middle image will then be in 3d.
